Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Democratic New York Congressman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have found something on which they can agree.
The pair announced last week on Twitter they're proposing a new law that would keep members of Congress from immediately going to work as lobbyists once they leave office.
Ocasio-Cortez calls herself a Democratic Socialist and Cruz is one of the most conservative members of Congress.
Cruz favors a lifetime ban on former Congress members becoming lobbyists.
Ocasio-Cortez prefers at least a long wait period.
