Wal Mart unsurprisingly tops a 24/7 Wall Street survey of the 20 Most Popular Stores in America, which includes home improvement outlets like Lowe's and Home Depot - and fast food joints like Wendy's, McDonald's, and Starbucks.
The rankings are based on foot traffic. The stores sell a variety of products with everyday uses, from healthcare to appliances to clothing. They're also relatively immune from major shifts in consumer trends.
