With the 54th overall pick, the Texans selected cornerback Lonnie Johnson Jr. from Kentucky. Johnson started 18 games over the past two years with the Wildcats.
With the very next pick at number 55, the Texans took offensive tackle Max Scharping out of Northern Illinois. Scharping is 6-foot-6, 327 pounds and started 53 straight games in college.
Later on, the Texans used the 86th overall pick on speedy tight end Kahale Warring from San Diego State.
They all join the Texans' first-round pick from Thursday night, offensive tackle Tytus Howard.
Saturday is the last day of the draft. Rounds four through seven begin at noon.
