A 12-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a vehicle he was in, was hit by an alleged drunk driver late Thursday.
Harris County Sheriff's Office authorities say it happened on Highway 249 near Willowbrook.
He was injured and rushed to Houston Northwest Hospital and remains in serious condition.
The family vehicle had become disabled so the boy's mother pulled over and put her flashers on.
Some time later, a couple of women in an Infiniti struck the SUV forcing the southbound lanes along Hwy 249 at Mills Road to close for 4 hours.
The mom and 3-year-old in the SUV in the vehicle were not seriously hurt.
The two women in the Infiniti car were taken to the hospital to get checked out.
No word on charges.
