In Pasadena, South Houston High School will be closed Monday due to a power outage. It's the only school district closed Monday according to Pasadena ISD's Facebook page.
Authorities say an EF-1 tornado damaged power lines, downing power to the school.
Shaver Street and Edgebrook Drive, in Pasadena ISD is where lines are down
CenterPoint is still working repairs in the area to restore power.
The National Weather Service says EF-1 tornado touched down during severe storms in the area Sunday afternoon.
At a business area Shaver Street and Edgebrook Drive, a tornado touched down, taking out eight to 10 power poles, tearing off rear side of a vacant business.
Authorities believe the severe weather likely damaged the Pasadena ISD bus barn. However, it remains unclear if the damage was from the tornado, or severe storm winds.
Pasadena ISD expects their school bus routes to be on schedule Monday morning.
