(Houston, TX) -- Vice President Mike Pence will be in Houston today. The White House says he'll be briefed on the crisis at the southern border and speak to federal agents who work there. Pence will then appear at Rice University's Baker Institute to speak out against Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro and show support for opposition leader Juan Guaido, whom the White House has recognized as the nation's interim president.
Next, Pence will head to College Station, where he'll honor the late President George H.W. Bush at his memorial library and museum.
