A Galveston County Judge John Ellisor has ruled to allow a change of venue for accused school shooter Dimitrios Pagourtzis.
This comes two days after Pagourtzis' first public courtroom appearance for his involvement in the Santa Fe High School mass shooting.
The hearing was to determine a change of venue, requested by defense, citing hundreds of news reports and social media comments, giving them a window into how the potential jury pool feels.
The district attorney's office did not have a comment at this time.
The new location for the court proceeding has not yet been announced.
