(Lakeland, FL) -- A mother wants charges dropped against her 11-year-old after he was arrested at Lawton Chiles Middle Academy earlier this month. The Lakeland student was taken to a juvenile detention center after refusing to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. He's being charged with disrupting a school function and resisting arrest without violence. His mother says the student has been bullied in the past and shouldn't have been arrested.
