(Houston, TX) -- A man charged with causing a DWI crash may face upgraded charges after the death of a five-year-old girl who was injured in the accident. Prosecutors say 35-year-old Isreal Lugo admitted to drinking a dozen beers at a bar before trying to drive to his brother's house.
Lugo reportedly ran a red light at Harrisburg and 75th Street and ran into another car, seriously injuring the girl and her 24-year-old aunt. He was charged with two counts of intoxication assault, but one will likely be upgraded to intoxication manslaughter.
