(Houston, TX) -- The man who reportedly chased a 14-year-old driver, leading to a deadly crash on New Year's Day, is now under indictment. Prosecutors say 48-year-old Christopher Lopez chased a car driven by the teenager after his passengers threw eggs at his car. Lopez reportedly chased them at speeds of up to 100 miles an hour and ran red lights while shooting at them.
The teen ran a red light on Aldine Mail Route at Aldine Westfield and hit a truck driven by 45-year-old Silvia Zavala, who was killed. Lopez is charged with manslaughter, failure to stop and render aid, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
