(Davis, CA) -- A Davis, California police officer shot in the line of duty has died. Twenty-two-year-old Natalie Corona was shot while responding to a three-vehicle crash last night.
Officer Corona was rushed to UC Davis Medical Center where she died of her injuries. The man suspected of opening fire on her was found in a home hours later, dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Corona started with the department in 2016 as a community service officer .
