(Houston, TX) -- A Louisiana family is reunited with their lost dog after eight years, thanks to the Houston SPCA and the dog's microchip. Jasper's owner says the dog got out of their backyard in Monroe one day and ran off.
Apparently a Louisiana family took him in and moved to Houston sometime in the past eight years. When the family decided they could no longer take care of the 12-year-old dog, they took him to the Houston SPCA on Friday.
The SPCA found his microchip, and one phone call later, Jasper is back home again.
