(Philadelphia, PA) -- A Philadelphia teenager is in custody for allegedly killing her newborn before abandoning it in a dumpster on New Year's Eve. Police announced yesterday that 15-year-old Jani Morris is facing charges of murder, abuse of a corpse and endangering the welfare of a child, among other related offenses.
Officials allege she suffocated the baby boy after giving birth in her home and then placed the body in the receptacle.
