Texas Republican Congressman-elect Dan Crenshaw is reaching out to comedian Pete Davidson after the SNL star's rough weekend. Davidson posted on Instagram that he didn't want to be on this earth anymore, prompting the NYPD to check on him. Davidson and Crenshaw recently met after Davidson made fun of Crenshaw's appearance on Saturday Night Live.
Crenshaw lost his eye as a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan and wears an eye patch. Crenshaw later appeared on SNL with Davidson to show there were no hard feelings. Crenshaw said that Davidson's post on social media was devastating, and while the two aren't good friends, he gave Davidson a call to encourage him. The lawmaker told Davidson that God put him here for a reason.
