Anchorage, Alaska Area Hit By 4.8 Earthquake

(Anchorage, AK)  --  A new earthquake is putting people in Alaska back on pins and needles.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.8 quake rattled the Anchorage area Sunday shortly after 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

It was reported about 15 miles north of the city, the same area where a large seven-point-zero earthquake hit just over a week ago.

That tremor caused many roads and bridges to be destroyed.  No damage or injuries have been reported from Sunday's event.
