Tired and Grumpy
Anxiety, sadness, lack of humor and enthusiasm. All of these can be caused by lack of sleep. Sleep Medicine Specialist Dr. Puneet Patni of Kelsey Seybold it can really mess you up. “People tend to get more irritable. They don’t think as clearly as they usually do and react more harshly more quickly to adverse stimuli.” And what’s worse, it’s cumulative. “Losing just one or two hours of sleep a night has a cumulative effect if it goes on night after night.” Dr. Patni says by Friday you're working at around 40% or normal. And Patni's solution is to make sleep a priority. If that's not possible, try a quick 20 minute nap when you have a chance. “Just ten to twenty minutes in the afternoon can recharge your batteries enough to do better. We have all taken a much longer nap and awakened groggier than we were in the first place!” <PSI_END_OBJECT>
Get a full night's rest as soon as you can and you'll be back to being great once more!
