(Collierville, TN) -- A Tennessee family is surprised by the discovery that a rare albino raccoon was the unknown animal sneaking into their backyard. The family in Collierville contacted a removal service after finding ransacked bird feeders, misplaced couch cushions and some paw prints.
The removal service set two traps and eventually caught a 25 to 30 pound albino raccoon alongside a normal raccoon. Wildlife biologists say only one in every 750-thousand raccoons is albino. They were both later freed into a wildlife management area. Several albino raccoons have been reported in the area lately.
