The Harris County Medical Examiner has officially ruled the death of Raymond Pryer, 3, a homicide.
The case will now go to a grand jury now that the district attorney's office is aware.
Pryer was left inside a hot van last July, for at least 4 hours. The group had just returned to the day care from a field trip. Inside the van, temperatures got up to around 113 degrees.
Discovering Me Academy, where this happened, was permanently shut down last month after the state revoked their license.
