The Bureau of Labor Statistics says 24 percent of you work at least 3 days a week from home and the trend is growing. You could work remotely full time for one company, or for a variety of businesses as a ghost writer or a virtual assistant. Business Coach Geeta Nadkarni says, “Industries that deal in a lot of intellectual property have a huge need for people who work from home.”
Given the explosion of technology, it is now easier than ever to adopt a Laptop Lifestyle and work from any location. Exceptions include doctors and construction workers but many other employers are looking for home-bound help.
Pitfalls include too many distractions (like walking your dog 3 times a day) and conference calls - because that's when your dog really wants to bark.
