Brazoria County officials say a two-year-old was mauled to death by the family dog on Friday.
They were called to a home on Morning Dove Street where they found the toddler dead at the scene. The body was taken to the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.
The mixed-breed dog was euthanized and its remains are being tested for rabies.
