SCAM ALERT: Lottery Scam in Huffman

A Huffman convenience store clerk is accused of altering scratch-off lottery tickets to find instant winners.

Investigators say the employee at the Fuel Maxx on FM 2100 was making pin-prick markings in bonus boxes to search out the winners.  The top prizes on two of the altered tickets reportedly amounted to over a million dollars.

The suspect - identified as Cliford Gracias - continued to deny his wrongdoing even after being presented with surveillance video evidence.  His bond was set at 10-thousand dollars.  Gracias' next court appearance is scheduled for Friday.

There will be plenty of lottery activity this weekend.  Tonight's Mega Millions jackpot has grown to 548-million dollars, while tomorrow's Powerball could be worth 314-million.
