A Fresno homeowner shot a man who kicked down his front door at around 4 a.m. today, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say the family had been asleep inside a home in the 4100 block of Emerald near West Palm Street when the suspect crashed in, yelling that someone was trying to get him. Deputies said the homeowner shot the suspect in the arm and leg, after telling him to leave the residence.
The unnamed suspect was taken into custody and is expected to be okay.
The homeowner isn't facing any charges.
