Humble ISD schools are adding extra security patrols following reports of strangers approaching students near two campuses.
A fifth grader at Oak Forest Elementary says a man in a gold-colored van asked if she wanted some candy as she walked home after classes Monday. She told police a teenage girl with red hair was also in the van.
And an Humble Middle School eighth grade student says a man approached him after school on Friday, asking to use his phone.
