(Houston, TX) -- The Houston Astros are placing one of their best hitters on the disabled list. The Stros' are sending second baseman Jose Altuve to the 10-day DL with soreness in his right knee.
The reigning American League MVP left a game last Wednesday with soreness in his knee and sat out both Friday and Saturday against the Rangers. Altuve leads the team with a .329 batting average.
The move is retroactive to Thursday.
