Matt Patrick left our lives and his own here on Earth one year ago. Marking this first anniversary of the passing of a broadcast "Hall of Fame" recipient is something we're called to do as broadcasters ourselves. That Matt was our colleague and close friend makes it more profound...a personal hurt that has not subsided, though sublimated each day with living necessities.
I unabashedly loved that man and his entire family. Working with him was a special joy... an honor... a learning experience like no other I’ve ever had. Professional lessons, but more important, life lessons from Matt in humility, courage, and ultimately transcendence. Thank you, Matt Patrick.
