The best job in America? It's Data Scientist -- for the third straight year. That's the rating by the Glassdoor Job Score, which ranks the top 50 jobs in America based on their pay and promise.
So take note, families of soon-to-be high school and college graduates.
Rated the second-best job is Development and Operations (DevOps) Engineer -- and number three is Marketing Manager.
Other top-10 jobs include Occupational Therapist, Human Resources Manager and Electrical Engineer.
The highest base salary among jobs on the top-50 list is Strategy Manager at $135,000. The job with the most openings is Software Engineer, which has more than 29,000 vacancies nationwide.
Newcomers to the top-50 list list include Speech Language Pathologist, Business Analyst and HR Generalist.
The Glassdoor Job Score is determined by three factors:
--Earning potential, based on median annual base salary.
--Job satisfaction rating.
--The number of job openings.
