He's finally back home tonight after 13 days in the hospital.
Former President George H.W. Bush has been released from Methodist Hospital Friday evening after being treated for a blood infection. He was admitted the day after the funeral for his wife, Former First Lady Barbara Bush, who died at the age of 92.
The two were married 73 years.
Family spokesperson Jim McGrath, tweeted:
McGrath had previously said Bush was eager to get well so he could get to his summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine.
Bush was first admitted into Intensive Care where he spent a few days before recovering in a regular room.
George H.W. Bush, 93, served as U.S. president 1989-1993. He has served as Ronald Reagan's vice president, a Texas congressman, and CIA director.
