VETERANS' VETERAN

The failure to live up to obligations to our nation's veterans has been decried for years. Will treatment and access to it… quality care…. finally be available to our heroes?

The President's opponents are already piling on his appointment of Admiral Ronny Jackson to the post of Secretary of Veterans Affairs. The native Texan, educated at Texas A&M Galveston and at UTMB, is to replace the out-going Obama Administration holdover (who has written a blistering op-ed about  his dismissal).

It might be a tough battle for Admiral Jackson, but he is a class act and a veteran’s veteran who has walked the walk that many “administrators and managers” haven’t.

He has treated sailors and  corpsmen of the Navy and Marines his entire medical career, graduating first in his class in emergency medical residency.  He was physician in charge of a forward deployed Marine Platoon in Iraq. He has served as physician for Presidents Bush, Obama and Trump.  He will serve his countrymen well.
