A spokesperson for Toys R Us says the bankrupt company's liquidation sales at most of its U.S. stores will likely get started over the weekend.
The selloff had originally been planned to begin on Thursday. The company filed for bankruptcy liquidation last week after years of declining sales.
Toys R Us has four Houston stores, plus locations in Sugar Land, Pearland, South Houston, and Katy. The former toy giant aims to finish selling its remaining merchandise by the end of June, but some stores may close sooner depending on how fast everything sells.
