It’s a difficult time for news consumers, who are fed steady diets of talking heads about every issue and non-issue in the world.  I should add “suspect talking heads”, because why should we credit people who supposedly are reporting the news with the insight and experience to direct our understanding of policy, diplomacy, military action, medicine, science…..endeavors they’ve never undertaken.

So pardon my pride in Matt Patrick and Houston’s Morning News, who didn’t pontificate about Syria, but instead conducted a well-measured conversation with the Baker Institute Ambassador Edward Djerejian.  His credential are too numerous to complete here…look him up….he’s a true expert on the Syrian, Russian, Middle East equation.  While you’re at it…listen to what a true expert has to say in Matt Patrick’s interview  at KTRH.com.
