Trump Gathers 25,000 Supporters in Massive Bronx Rally

Trump has been forced to run a somewhat limited campaign in the last several weeks due to his ongoing Hush Money trial in Manhattan, but he's not letting that time go to waste. He has pledged to win the blue city of New York, and he's gaining some major ground.

Yesterday, he held a rally at Crotona Park in the Bronx and drew a crowd of around 25,000, far exceeding the expected 3,500 attendees. Even after the event kicked off, there was a crowd of people waiting outside for hours, hoping for a chance to get in.

New York City has for years been an epicenter of the immigration and crime crisis that have come to define the Biden administration, but Trump brought a very optimistic message to his supporters, saying, "I'm here tonight to declare we are going to turn New York City around, and we are going to turn it around very, very quickly."

At the rally, Donald Trump publicly received and accepted the endorsement of New York City Democratic politician Rubén Díaz Sr., a former NYC councilman and state senator.

This rally marks the first instance of a Republican campaigning for the general election inside New York City in several decades. If Trump achieves his goal of winning the state, it would be the first time a Republican has won New York since Reagan in 1984.
