Conserving Water and Electricity - it's the Texas Way!

More Fahrenheit --- More Rules!

ERCOT issued a Conservation Appeal for today, August 27, from 4-9 p.m. It's probable that this request will be repeated until temperatures lighten up.

Your thermometer is setting records and now the city of Houston is under mandatory watering restrictions as is most of the state... The Texas extreme heat and drought are causing major water main breaks and water needs to be conserved as well. In Houston, those living in an even-numbered street address may water on Sundays and Thursdays between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Odd-numbered street addresses can water on Saturdays and Wednesdays at the same time period. 5 minutes should be long enough to send water down to the roots.

The City of Houston has posted: Violators will be fined.

A personal note: We really will get through this...eventually.
