The president of the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association is part of the state's new concert safety task force.
Marty Lancton says he will represent the Texas State Association of Firefighters on the force.
Gov. Greg Abbott announced the formation of the Texas Task Force on Concert Safety earlier this week, following the deadly concert crush at the Astroworld Festival a week ago.
The group will include safety experts, law enforcement personnel, firefighters, music industry leaders, and other experts.
