This week marks the six month mark for America under the Biden administration, and it is truly hard to believe that so much damage could be done in such a short period of time.
But here we are, with a long list of items to choose from. Inflation, crime, censorship, the biggest divide since the civil war, just to name a few. However the new number one issue that may be at the top of the list? CRT, critical race theory.
"I think it will be one of the issues that sways the midterms" said Travis County Republican strategist Andy Hogue, "I don't think the suburbs want that."
Many experts believe that the difference in the 2020 election was due to the voting in the suburbs. That many who voted for Donald Trump in 2016, instead went with Biden because they thought he was a moderate. But there are also some who believe that narrative is not accurate because Republicans continue to make red waves. "It was expected that our suburbs would trend Democrat" Hogue told KTRH, "But Fort Bend County is one prime example lately having elected Republican State Representative Gary Gates, even when national Democrats parachuted everybody from Beto O'Rourke on up to fight the election."
And now, even though you won't see it or hear about from the mainstream media, the fight against CRT is happening all across the country. Parents, who were stuck at home during the lockdowns, learned what their kids are being taught, were horrified, and now they are pushing back.
"CRT has been pushed on us to the point to where we have no option but to fight back" Hogue said, "It's the backlash against Black Lives Matter."
And it will only grow, as we countdown to next year's elections.
