Deadly Houston Aquarium Gunman was Out on Bonds

The gunman who killed one diner and wounded another last week was out of bond at the time. The two victims were finishing their dinners at a Downtown Aquarium Restaurant Bar (in Houston) when a man who was seated at the end of the bar approached them, shot them both, and then killed himself.

"In this particular case you have a defendant not out on one, not out on two, but out on three bonds including a felon in possession of a weapon." Andy Kahan, head of Victim Services for Crime Stoppers, says the shooter, 39 year old Danny Cazares was out on bond for an April weapons charge and was also charged once for trashing a hotel room.

HPD Homicide Investigators are working to determine what led to a shooting. Cazares has a history of mental illness.
