Residents in District F in West Houston are taking their safety concerns directly to the police chief.
During a Wednesday night town hall meeting, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner assured residents that the department hears the neighborhood's concerns.
The department says they are working on a comprehensive plan that targets violent offenders.
Part of the plan, the chief says, is looking into apartment complexes throughout the district that have become serious problem areas.
