3,000 Doses of Vaccine Destroyed in February Freeze

State health officials are reporting more than three-thousand coronavirus vaccines went bad during the power outages in February's freeze.

The state's weekly vaccine report started including the category "natural disaster or power outage" after the winter storm in order to account for spoiled doses.

The reported number hasn't changed in a week, indicating that vaccine providers may be caught up on reporting the total number of vaccines that went to waste because of the weather-related blackouts.
