An 8-year-old child asleep in his bed was injured when the wall of his apartment was penetrated by a celebratory gunfire on New Year’s Eve. Ten minutes after the clock struck midnight heralding the start of the new year a stray bullet went through a wall on Garden City Drive near W. Montgomery Road. Police don’t know where the bullet came from and don’t have a suspect.The child is expected to survive.
On Fulton Street, a 24-year old woman was accidentally shot in the stomach by her 60 year-old grandfather, who has been arrested while she is undergoing surgery at a hospital.
