Texas Ties Longest Period Of Gas Prices Below $2

Triple-A Texas says today ties the longest stretch of consecutive days the statewide average gas price has been below two-dollars a gallon since it first reached that price in 2005.

The average gas price in Texas has been below two-bucks since mid-March, and as of this week, it ties the record set in 2016.

The Triple-A Texas Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average in Texas is $1.87 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel.

In Houston, the average price is $1.83.
