Abbott Is Working With Corpus Christi Following Friday Pipeline Explosion

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is promising the state is working with local officials after a pipeline explosion.

Abbott says Emergency Management and Public Safety officials are teaming up with Corpus Christi and the Coast Guard after a barge hit the pipeline at around 8 Friday morning.

The governor also says the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is also monitoring the air quality.

Six people are hospitalized with injuries sustained in the blast. Four were taken to Brooke Medical Center in San Antonio.
