The husband of the mayor of Kemah is under arrest on a charge of family violence.
Officers arrested 65-year-old Scott Gale, who reportedly got into a physical fight with his wife at their home early Tuesday morning.
Mayor Terri Gale told officers she got home around 2 a.m. and her husband was angry that she'd come in so late.
He reportedly broke her phone, knocked her down, and choked her.
The arresting officer says Scott Gale appeared to be intoxicated.
