Protesters Out on Own Recognizance

Those protesters with Greenpeace who brought traffic to a standstill earlier this week have left the court house. They "occupied" the Fred Hartman Bridge over the Houston Ship Channel stopping traffic and obstructing navigable waters. They were brought up on federal and state charges. A judge today dismissed them on Personal Recognizance meaning they do not have to pay money to leave custody. They must, however, appear for future hearings.
