Democrats still talking impeachment, investigations

Democrats aren't giving up their effort to investigate and impeach President Trump. In fact, it's at the top of their 'to do' list.

Democrats in the House voted to define the rules for future committee impeachment hearings. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she wants a full House vote.

"I want to see every Republican go on the record and knowingly vote against impeachment of this President," she said.

Rob Astorino, who is on the President's 2020 Advisory Board, told KTRH it's all about keeping their base engaged.

"What they are trying to do is keep their base all riled up, which they will be riled up no matter what. They've been riled up since Election Night, 2016," Astorino explained.

But he doesn't think the talk of impeachment will actually last long.

"They will squeeze every last drop out of this lemon until they can go no further until they decide that it's the political season and let the voters decide," Astroino explained, adding that the adults in the Democratic Party are afraid to step up.
