Texans Announce Open Practice Dates

It may be midsummer, but football is in the air.

The Houston Texans announce open practice dates where fans can see the team in action. Training camp opens on Sunday, but fans won't get their first look at the team until Thursday, August 1st. They can also see morning sessions on Saturday, August 3rd, Saturday, August 10th, Wednesday, August 14th, and Thursday, August 15th.

Open practices will begin at 9:10 a.m., and the NFL Clear Bag Policy will be in effect.

Registration for tickets is underway and will continue through next Wednesday. Fans are limited to two bleacher seats.

The Texans are returning to the Houston Methodist Training Facility after spending previous preseasons in West Virginia.

The team opens its preseason schedule August 8th in Green Bay. Their preseason home opener is August 17th against the Detroit Lions.

The Texans start the regular season on Monday Night Football, meeting the Saints in New Orleans September 9th. Their regular season debut at NRG Stadium is September 15th against Jacksonville.
