Mainstream media gives incomplete economic picture

The economy is booming, and the numbers are there to prove it. But don’t expect the mainstream media to talk about it.

The Wall Street Journal recently did a story on millennials, and how they are in worse financial shape than every living generation before them. Economist Vance Ginn at the Texas Public Policy Foundation the piece never mentions that millennials get help from their parents.

“A lot of them go to college, and they stay in college for longer periods of time. So whose income are they also getting? Their parents,” Ginn said.

But if you're waiting for the mainstream media to mention that, you'll be waiting for a while.

“If it doesn’t play into their picture of the more progressive issues that are going on then it’s not the right way to go. So you hear a lot of gloom and doom,” Ginn explained, adding that this is especially the case with Donald Trump in the White House.
