BREAKING: Car found as Maleah Davis search resumes

JUST IN: A court order has been issued that bans Maleah Davis’s mother and stepfather from having any contact with their son or any of the mother's other children.

Police named Maleah’s stepfather, Derion Vence, “a person of interest” in her disappearance earlier this week, saying he’s changed his story multiple times.

After weather suspended it yesterday, the search has resumed this mornin for missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis.

Texas EquuSearch said they are racing against the weather, which is expected to bring heavy rounds of rain between now and Saturday. The search is resuming at South Kirkwood near Bissonnet in southwest Houston.

The priority was finding the car belonging to Maleah's stepfather, Darion Vence. That car, a Nissan Altima, has been found. Police say his story has been inconsistent since the little girl went missing.

Vence originally told officers he was attacked. Sugar Land police say that story changed multiple times.

So far, Vence is not facing any charges. While police have not considered him a suspect in Maleah's disappearance, they did call him a person of interest.
