Frisco Issues Aggressive Coyote Alert After 7th Attack
(Frisco, TX) -- Frisco authorities are putting out an aggressive coyote alert after the seventh attack in three months. It happened around 6:40 a.m. yesterday when a coyote attacked a man who was running near Eldorado Parkway and Tangerine Lane. The Dallas Morning News reports the man fought off the animal and was treated for minor injuries. Frisco city officials are advising people to consider not walking, jogging, or walking pets in areas where coyotes have attacked and to listen for potential predators by not wearing earbuds when walking or running.
Down in Clearwater, Florida, coyote attacks are being reported.
(Clearwater, FL) -- A dog is lucky to have survived a run-in with a coyote in Pinellas County, but residents worry more attacks are on the way. An owner was walking his dog this week in Clearwater's On Top of the World retirement community when the attack happened.
Coyotes have been seen repeatedly in the complex, and residents say the animals are getting too comfortable around humans. One man tells News Channel 8 he recently saw a coyote relaxing on the grass just ten feet away from him.
