Campaign to find the missing kicks off

Drivers around Houston are going to see billboards featuring missing people from the Houston area, as Clear Channel Outdoor teams up with the Texas Center for the Missing to call attention to these cases.

The new campaign kicks off this weekend, and Clear Channel Outdoor spokesman Lee Vela tells KTRH even bringing one missing person home is a victory.

“We’re hoping that by exposing these cases to the public, someone knows something that can help bring these folks home,” Vela said.

Among the cases that will be features is the one of Ali Lowitzer, who went missing nine years ago when she was sixteen years old. The campaign will broadcast Ali’s photo, as last seen, on digital billboards throughout Texas over 1,200 times per day.

Her birthday, February 3 rd , was proclaimed by then Mayor Parker as Houston Missing Persons Day.
