DHS To Ask For More Border Troops

The Department of Homeland Security is reportedly planning to ask the Pentagon to send more troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to help erect more barbed wire and fences.

The additional troops and engineers would help with 130 more miles of wire at the southwestern border, extending the already-placed 70 miles of fencing.

The DHS also wants to extend the deployment of current troops at the border, which would push the operation past its January 31st end date.
