Houston Police Officer Muzaffar Hassan Siddiqi, 56, who has worked for HPD in Public Affairs since 1998 was busted for driving while intoxicated Monday morning.
Siddiqi was a well-known liaison in the local South Asian community.
Police say Siddiqi was behind the wheel southbound on I-69 the Southwest Freeway Monday morning when he struck a guardrail by Hillcroft.
Police say he was seen swerving in traffic with prescription pills in his possession.
